Artist Receptions
The EAGM hosts receptions for exhibiting artists whenever possible.
Events such as these allow visitors to meet artists and learn more about
their work. The artists give a brief talk about their art practice and
answer questions from the crowd. The gallery usually provides refreshments
following the talk. Artist Receptions last about 2 hours, but it is
not necessary to stay the whole time. There is no dress code and everyone
is invited to attend. Children are also welcome to come with their families
to these receptions.
New Employees!
The EAGM welcomes new employees Breanna Tocher
(Pre-Journalism at the University of Regina)and Alana Moore
(Fine Arts - Studio Arts at the University of Saskatchewan) as Museum
and Gallery Assistants for the summer. We also welcome
Twyla Exner (Graduate Fine Arts -Sculpture at Concordia
University - Montreal) who will be taking on the role of Collections
Assistant during the summer months. Their artistic expertise and
friendly personalities will prove to be a wonderful asset to our
organization.
